OUR STORY

Dusty Biscuit started as a side-hustle pop-up of the founder, Trey Smith. A school teacher at the time, he had a wild idea about leveled up sugar bread that transformed into The Dusty Biscuit. Launching on Fat Tuesday of 2019, DB popped up at just about every coffee/tea shop, brewery, and distillery in town. With every stop, the crowds got bigger and our following grew larger. Turns out that FunkyTown loves some beignets...

In January of 2020, Trey took a big leap full time into an Airstream food truck in the heart of South Main. Then the dang pandemic hit. BUT, our amazing customers kept us afloat and an opportunity for a brick and mortar location came available.

Along the way we've been blessed with amazing customers and unexpected accolades. We've been honored to be named a Best New Restaurant in Texas (Texas Monthly, Best New Restaurant in Fort Worth (Culturemap Tastemaker Awards), and Best Donuts in Fort Worth (FW Magazine and FW Star-Telegram).

We're just getting started, y'all! Come along for the ride. We'll bring the French Quarter beignets and cafe au lait. I can promise the road will be a dusty one...
